What ceramic coating actually does

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to your vehicle’s paint. Once it cures, it forms a hard, hydrophobic layer on top of your clear coat that — unlike wax — can’t be washed or waxed off.
Here’s what that means in practice:
Water and contaminants bead up and roll off instead of sitting on the paint
Bird droppings, tree sap, and UV rays cause significantly less damage
Swirl marks from washing are much harder to create on a coated surface
The paint maintains a deeper gloss and doesn’t oxidize as quickly
Washing takes a fraction of the time because dirt doesn’t bond to the surface
Think of it less like a product and more like a permanent upgrade to your paint’s surface.
